Ray's journey into mosaic began through music. In the 1990s, while collaborating with artists including Madonna, he encountered Byzantine mosaic art — an experience that would redefine his creative path.

He immersed himself in the discipline, mastering traditional methods from the ground up: hand-crafting smalti, studying the subtle dialogue between light and color that animates historic cathedral walls. That sense of rhythm, composition, and resonance continues to shape every mosaic we create.
